Communism may be a neglgected word nowadays, because of that mere fact that it did'nt came in a very effective way, or we might be misunderstanding what this word really means? After four months of stay here in Russia and travelling five cities, this has made me realize that the effects vary, on how people perceive it and how it is applied in certain situations.
When I was growing up, Communism has been a word, I never gave so much attention to, NPA in the Philippines and other communism groups, may never realized that it is a word that should be applied to ALL! Reviewing facts and the teachings of several Authors of this theory, it should be applied to ALL...not just in one country but the whole humanity. Now the human race is moving towards to a more unsustainable environment, more vulnerable that it was before, thus we are doing the best that we can to prevent disastrous situations like war, this is what communism is all about helping one another to build somewhat better for all of us.
I am a volunteer for AFS Russia, I am travelling the Russian Countryside to know what
maybe is lacking, and why is that communism fails to send its promise of a better world for Russia. After 15 years of change in the Government, Economic policies and lifestyle, a questions is raised now. IS RUSSIA READY? or is it not?
People may have been getting the positive and the negative aspect of changes that is happening around but they never realized how important it is to be aware of what is happening around the globe, many people are still on the wrong side of what they had during the communist times. From what I have been getting from them, they are terrified to see foreigners to come in Russia, more than that listening to Engish makes them tremble, but why? why does FEAR is their reaction to something new? how about curiosity or maybe EAGERNESS?
